This week I spotted a lot of recycled, or more accurately, reused and re-purposed themed art. I am always on the look out for this type of art as I appreciate it very much.

Very fun to see “Recycled Art”. I was amazed at the horse too when I came across it on display once at the SRJC Art Gallery!
FYI there’s a really cool Art Garden at the SF Recycle/Dump! I know that’s sounds like ‘Yuck’ but I did go there with my Art Installation class as a field trip. They actually have resident artists that are given a stipend for 3 months, they collect from items that are separated for recycling and make art out of it. Each resident is given a working studio there and each is to leave one of their art pieces behind for the Art Garden. It was surprisingly Cool!
I appreciate people sharing creativity. As an artist myself, it is nice to see how others use everyday items and/or what is considered trash into art. Have you seen the tall towering recycled bicycle piece in Santa Rosa? I can’t remember exactly where it is, but I believe it is down Santa Rosa Avenue. I like the newspaper dog, shredded shaggy newspaper for a shaggy dog.
